Top 5 Can’t-Miss Sessions at ADA 2025

Dr. Paul Chidester, MD, FACP
Chief Medical Officer, Monarch Medical TechnologiesAs we gear up for the American Diabetes Association’s 85th Scientific Sessions in Chicago, our team at Monarch is energized by what’s ahead.
This year’s agenda reflects a clear shift: hospitals aren’t just talking about glycemic control, they’re making bold moves toward standardization, smarter technology adoption, and safer insulin delivery.
Here are the five sessions we believe are must-attends for anyone invested in improving inpatient diabetes care:
1. Symposium – Advances and Trends in Diabetes Technology
Sunday, June 22, 8-9:30, W 181 A-C
This session will explore the evolving role of diabetes technology across the care continuum, from inpatient management to discharge planning. We’ll be watching closely for any discussion around computerized insulin dosing platforms like EndoTool, particularly in the hospital setting.
2. Session: Controversies in Continuous Glucose Monitoring
Friday, June 20 | 3:45–5:15 PM | Room W183 BC
This session will dive into key debates surrounding CGM accuracy, integration, and the most meaningful metrics for guiding treatment decisions.
As CGM technologies shift from “nice to have” to essential tools in patient care, the focus will increasingly turn to how we implement them safely, efficiently, and at scale.
3. Panel Discussion: Clinical Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Diabetes Technology
Saturday, June 21 | 8:00–9:30 AM | Room W183 BC
This panel will explore the promise and challenges of integrating AI into clinical care, along with advancements in remote patient monitoring and the future of automated insulin delivery. These topics are highly relevant to us at Monarch Medical Technologies as we continue evolving our insulin dosing solutions to align with the future of intelligent, data-driven care.
4. Advancing Diabetes Care Through Technology (With Richard R. Rubin Award Lecture)
Saturday, June 21 | 1:30–3:00 PM | Room W185 A-D
This session explores how CGM systems, automated insulin delivery, and digital tools are shaping the next chapter of diabetes care. While much of this technology has historically been used in outpatient settings, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes standard in hospitals.
With growing interest in real-time data, and integrated clinical decision support, this session offers a preview of what’s coming to the inpatient world and why it matters.
5. Our Poster: Improving Glycemic Control with SubQ Insulin Dosing
Sunday, June 22 | 12:30–1:30 PM | Poster Hall (Hall F1)
We’re excited to present new data from a three-hospital academic system showing how EndoTool SubQ helped reduce severe hypoglycemia and improve consistency in insulin dosing.
Our study, “Improved Glycemic Control with Utilization of a Subcutaneous Computerized Insulin Dosing Application,” reflects an important step forward in standardizing insulin management and improving glycemic control across diverse care settings.
As more hospitals seek scalable, evidence-based clinical decision support tools that align with ADA standards, we believe this work has real implications for quality and consistency across systems.
Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
Whether you’re presenting, attending, or exploring new ways to advance inpatient care, ADA 2025 offers an important platform to reimagine what’s possible in hospital-based glycemic management.
For us at Monarch, it’s about more than sharing data, it’s about driving conversations around standardization, safety, and support for the clinical teams delivering insulin every day.
If you’re attending, stop by our poster on Sunday or look for us at the other sessions. We’re excited to keep pushing hospital diabetes care forward together.
