Monarch Participates in American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Fundraiser
This April, Monarch Medical Technologies will participate in the 25th annual Tour de Cure hosted by the American Diabetes Association in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association.
Monarch Medical Technologies is thrilled to be involved with the community at this year’s Tour de Cure. With a company vision of improving glucose management, the Monarch team could not think of a better volunteer opportunity aligned with their core values. With more than 13% of North Carolinians and 14% of South Carolinians having diabetes, it is estimated that diabetes cost North and South Carolina $16 billion annually in direct costs and lost productivity. The employees of Monarch are eager to spin their wheels towards reducing these numbers by raising awareness.
The American Diabetes Association emphasizes that Tour de Cure is a ride, not a race. There are routes designed for everyone, from the occasional to the skilled cyclist. The chosen route will be fully supported with rest stops, mechanical, police support, and volunteers cheering along the way start to finish. The event will include live music, great food and endless support from family, friends and volunteers!
When: April 30, 2016
Where: Ballantyne Corporate Park
Time: Check-in starts at 8:00 am for longer routes and 9:00 am for shorter routes
Cost: $15 registration fee with $200 fundraising minimum
