Dr. Elizabeth Mann-Salinas currently serves as the Performance Improvement Coordinator at the Joint Trauma System in San Antonio, TX. Previously, she served as Nurse Scientist and Task Area Manager for Systems of Care for Complex Patients at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research. In this role, her research focused on burn intensive care and the role nurses play in these situations.

Dr. Mann-Salinas received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University and master of science in nursing from the University of Colorado Anshutz Medical Campus.  She also received her PhD in philosophy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
