Dr. Andrew Krentz is a physician and clinical researcher with more than three decades of experience in diabetes and related metabolic disorders.  He is currently the Chief Medical Officer and the Founding Director of Metabolic Intelligence. Moreover, Dr. Krentz is a Senior Research Fellow at ProSciento in Chula Vista, San Diego.

Prior to his current positions, Dr. Krentz was a professor of Endocrinology & Metabolism and Director of the Institute of Translation Medicine and Clore Life Sciences Laboratory at the University of Buckingham.  Furthermore, he was a visiting professor of Medicine at the Institute of Diabetes for Older People at Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Postgraduate Medical School at the University of Bedfordshire.

After his duties with the University of Bedfordshire, Dr. Krentz became a consultant physician in diabetes and endocrinology and later a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Southampton.  Dr. Krentz is also the founding editor-in-chief of Cardiovascular Endocrinology.
