Andrew Krentz, MD

Chief Medical Officer and Founding Director, Metabolic Intelligence

Dr. Andrew Krentz is a physician and clinical researcher with more than three decades of experience in diabetes and related metabolic disorders.  He is currently Chief Medical Officer and  Founding Director of Metabolic Intelligence. Additionally, Dr. Krentz is a Senior Research Fellow at ProSciento.

Prior to his current positions, Dr. Krentz was a Professor of Endocrinology & Metabolism and Director of the Institute of Translation Medicine and Clore Life Sciences Laboratory at the University of Buckingham. He was also a Visiting Professor of Medicine at the Institute of Diabetes for Older People at University of Bedfordshire, Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Postgraduate Medical School.

After his departure from University of Bedfordshire, Dr. Krentz became a consultant physician in diabetes and endocrinology, and later, a senior clinical lecturer at University of Southampton. Dr. Krentz is also the founding editor-in-chief of Cardiovascular Endocrinology.
